All healthy plants – just like humans – need a balanced diet of nutrients (food) to grow. However, plants can only access these nutrients if their growing medium has the correct pH range.
From a water chemistry perspective, pH (potential hydrogen) plays a key role in making nutrients soluble so they can be absorbed by plants. When the growing medium becomes too acidic or too alkaline, your plants will not have access to the nutrients they need to thrive.

How to extend the life of your pH probe?
You should regularly clean and maintain your Bluelab Leap pH probe to ensure its continued accuracy and long life.
Bluelab PH probe care - ph tester maintenance kit contains everything you need to clean and care for your pH probe. After you have finished cleaning your probe, calibrate it with the Bluelab calibration solutions. You will need to calibrate your probe each time you clean it.
You can also extend the life of your probe by ensuring that its tip remains wet at all times. Use the included storage cap when you are not using your probe and regularly top up the amount of KCl in the cap.
