Clonex® Mist has been independently trialed in New Zealand by Dr. Lynette Morgan of Suntec Laboratory on Ficus and Dianthus. The development of roots was shown to occur up to 10 days quicker, with 30% longer roots and up to156% more roots than using water alone to mist your cuttings.

In plant buds, plant hormones or growth regulators (auxins) are produced under the influence of light and heat; they are transported to that part of the plant where the roots are or should be. Therefore, the production of these hormones is better in summer than in winter. Therefore, the best chance of rooting cuttings is from April to July. Outside of this period, success for cuts is more difficult and often depends on weather conditions.
